The championship piece · Cake Artists World Championship 2025

Việt Nam – Land of Silk and Flowers

A three-tier artistic cake, seven months in the making. The first tier carries the golden rice terraces of the Northwest — farmers, buffalo, a flute player and a woman in a white áo dài. The second tier descends into the caves of Phong Nha–Kẻ Bàng: stalactites, water and stone bridges. The third rises into Hạ Long Bay — mountains, sea, boats and lotus flowers.

Lotus, houses and trees were modelled from Vietnamese rice flour, inspired by tò he folk art; the surface was hand-painted on buttercream. The tasting cake, a caramel-hazelnut buttercream tested dozens of times, won Best Taste Cake.
